2021 Conference Optional Tours

 

The 2021 Conference is fast approaching – it’s time to lock in which optional tours you’d like to attend.

As a delegate pass holder, the below activities are included at no charge (unless where stated otherwise). You’re able to book one tour per person, per day, on Tuesday 21 and Thursday 23 September.
If you’d like your child or teenager to participate in activities they must be enrolled in either the Kids Club or Teenage Program. Please note that some activities have age and weight restrictions.

Electric Bike Ride

Feel the wind in your hair as you explore the local Hunter Valley area on a Suttons Estate Electric Bike. You’ll receive a map of the local area including recommended wineries and distilleries to visit to explore at your own pace over a four hour period, plus a bicycle training and induction, and helmet fitting on arrival.
Note: Must be 14 years and older to ride the electric bikes
The Tuesday tour is 2 hours in duration.
The Thursday tour is 4 hours in duration.

Hunter Valley Horse Riding

Enjoy a ride through bushland and vineyards in the spectacular Hunter Valley with spectacular views to the beautiful Broken Back Range.

Note: Must be 10 years and over to ride, weight limit is 115KG

Segway Tour

Explore the Hunter Valley via Segway, and enjoy the majestic scenery and wildlife via Segway.  You’ll travel along old stock routes, through the McGuigan vineyard and past the Hunter Valley Bottling Company and learn a few tips about the wine industry along the way

Time: Tour runs for 1.15 hours.  A shuttle bus will collect you from Chateau Elan at 1:30PM and return at 3:30PM
Note: Must be 11 years and older to ride a Segway

Winery Bus Tour – Tuesday Tour – Duration 2 hours

Enjoy private tasting sessions at Wynwood Estate and Small Mouth Vodka Distillery.  You’ll sample a selection of locally produced wines and spirits while learning about the winemaking and distillery processes

Winery Bus Tour -Thursday Tour – Duration 4 hours

In addition to the Wynwood Estate and Small Mouth Vodka Distillery, you’ll also have a private tasting session at Wandin Valley Estate plus sample gourmet delights at Hunter Belle Dairy Co OR D’Vine Treats.
Note: you must be 18 years and older to be eligible to sample the beverages available at Wandin Valley Estate, Wynwood Estate and Small Mouth Vodka Distillery

Go Karting & Putt Putt

Monaco GP package – available for adults (16 years and over). This includes a practice session, a qualifying drive and one 15 minute race.
Standard rides package – available for adults and kids (8 years and over). This includes one licence and two 13 minute rides.
Putt-putt golf (Thursday only) – available to all, enjoy a game of putt-putt on a course modelled on Bathurst’s famous Mount Panorama racing car track

18 Holes of Golf – The Vintage Golf Course

Enjoy a friendly four-person Ambrose match on Chateau Elan’s Greg Norman designed course. Shared carts and range balls are provided prior to the game
Tee Off Time: 1:00PM to 5:30PM
Golf Club Hire: Clubs are available for hire at $60pp, payable directly to The Vintage Golf Club on the day

Let’s Tee Up – Master Electricians Conference Cup

Keen for a round of golf prior to conference kick-off?  Join us on the Greg Norman-designed 18-hole championship golf course for a friendly four person Ambrose competition.

When: Monday 20 September 2021
Venue: The Vintage Gold Club, Chateau Elan
Tee Off Time: 12 midday
Fee: $100 per person (includes share use of an electric buggy, 18 hole golf competition and a voucher for a beer to enjoy after the game). Club hire is available at $60 for 18 holes (payment can be made directly at the Pro Shop on the day).

Kids and Fun!
If you’d like your child or teenager to participate in activities and events including enjoying conference meals, they must be enrolled in either the Kids Club (3-12 yrs) or Teenage Program (13-15). Children 16yrs and over will require a full delegate pass.  The kids will not only love the Rug Rat and Teen Program but also enjoy the Hunter Valley Gardens rides – carousel, ferris wheel and magic garden!

Rug Rat and Teen Program

The Rug Rat Pass is designed for children aged 3-12 years, providing in-house activities for the kids to enjoy whilst you attend the conference business sessions.  Program times:

Tuesday – 8.30am to 12.30pm
Wednesday – 8.00am to 4.30pm
Thursday – 8.30am to 1.00pm & 6.00pm to 10.30pm

The Teen Program provides kids aged 13-15 years with access to the full conference program plus an ability to attend the Golf and Tennis clinic.
