New A2 Amendments Published for the Wiring Rules – AS/NZS 3000

MEA CEO Malcolm Richards is planning to visit towns and cities across Australia talking about significant changes to the Wiring Rules, solar installation standards, industry charge out rate trends and issues impacting our industry.
A2 Amendment – Wiring Rules Update

Important update on the key changes. This includes:

Changes to AS/NZS 5033

The Industry Briefing Sessions will provide a comprehensive update on the major changes to AS/NZS 5033 Installation and Safety Requirements for Photovoltaic (PV) arrays.
The changes to the Standard include:

  • Changes to the usage of DC roof top isolators
  • Changes to maximum DC voltage
  • New safety requirements for the location of DC cables
  • Changes to the 350-watt PV module limit
  • New solar system layout map requirements
  • Updated PV array earthing clauses
Industry charge out rate trends

MEA surveyed hundreds of electrical contractors across Australia, and the results are in!  Mr Richards will take a deep dive into the results and what they say about trends in charge out rates nationally.

This is a free, industry wide briefing session – open to all electrical contractors across Australia.
