WHS training and assessment changes

Safe Work Australia has released advice on temporary changes to first aid training requirements due to the impact of COVID-19 on face-to-face training delivery.
Working with all Commonwealth, State and Territory WHS regulators, Safe Work Australia is reviewing alternative approaches to WHS training and assessment during this period.
WHS regulators across all jurisdictions have “agreed that no compliance action will be taken in relation to the first aid training requirements in regulation 42 of the model WHS Regulations where first aid training is not available because of COVID-19”.
Electrical contractors will need to contact the relevant WHS regulators in their State or Territory for their policy on other areas of WHS training and assessment impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
