The report provides an overview of the results of a benchmark survey undertaken by Master Electricians Australia and electrical contractors in 2019, 2020, and 2022. Respondents were asked to submit their charge out rates for the following sectors:

This survey covers four key areas for the electrical industry, with respondents answering questions on the topics of:
- Business Profile – Company size, location, length of operation and type of work.
- Charges and Fees – Whether they charge per hour or quote per job, identifying charge out rates to customers, service fees, travelling time, loading for after hours, mark ups on trade price materials (pictured right) and how their expenditure has changed in the last 12 months.
