Lauren van Strijp, Co-Founder and Managing Director of Melbourne Electrical and Data Solutions, she established herself within the electrical industry with a vision – to deliver a service that exceeds the customer’s expectations. Having grown up within the electrical industry (daughter of an electrician) and worked within the corporate world for several years, with a key focus on: business practice, human resources, professional development and management; Lauren saw an opportunity to utilise her experience and formal qualifications and make a positive contribution to the community.

Lauren is an advocate for women entrepreneurs, is a member of the MEA Women in Contracting committee and has won the Women in Contracting (VIC) award multiple times (2015, 2017 and 2018).

Danny Finnerty

Danny Finnerty has twenty years’ experience as a qualified electrician. He used his technical expertise and business savvy to found and manage an electrical contracting company in London in 2001 and another in Sydney in 2006. Now, as an owner and Director of both Onsite Electrical Services and The Green Guys Group he manages over 25 electrical contractors. Descended from a line of electricians, Danny’s passion for the electrical industry was inspired from a young age helping his father. He embodies The Green Guys Group vision for energy efficiency and renewable energy solutions by running operations with a firm yet compassionate hand.

Garry Nau

Garry Nau is the Managing Director of GESA Pty Ltd which was established in 2005 and is based in North Adelaide. He did his apprenticeship before going via the domestic market through to the commercial as a leading hand. He also worked for an electrical wholesaler overseas. Since coming to Australia in 1999, he has worked on various building sites, a major Adelaide company in the domestic field and SAPN before establishing GESA Electrical. Gary has served in the committee for over a year as well as being Vice Chairman of our local Association and Brand Ambassador of BNI SA.

Adrian Cassin

Adrian Cassin is the Director of Laser Electrical Castle Hill and has over 35 years’ experience in the electrical industry. He has a wide variety of experience, from electrical in domestic and commercial to Solar PV and Dara communication. Adrian has been contracting for 30 years and has employed his own staff for most of that time. He is always happy to help and share his knowledge with other electricians in the industry.

Sam Eastoe

Sam Eastoe is the Managing Director of Eastoe Electrical in Melbourne, Victoria. Sam is a young and highly motivated electrical contractor, who after finishing his qualifications in country Victoria relocated to the big smoke of Melbourne to pursue his dream of owning his own business. Starting a small business at a young age had many challenges but through these he learnt valuable lessons and key skills needed to ensure success and future growth of his business. Sam believes an integral part of this process was joining Master Electricians Australia early on. It has connected him with a great network of experienced and passionate electricians and business owners within the industry and enables him to keep up with the growth of the ever-evolving industry.

Ray Sheriff is the Director of Laser Electrical Granville (formerly Cabra Electrical). It is a family owned and operated company that prides themselves on quality of work. Established in 1998, they employ 14 staff members and are based in Western Sydney. Ray has been a member of the AAC committee for the last 5 years and represents New South Wales on the National board of Master Electricians Australia.

Troy Smith is the Manager Director of Electric Results in South Australia. He is an experienced and successful strategic leader, possessing well developed marketing, sales and people management skills gained both at the coal face and in senior executive roles within commercial and industrial electrical environments. Troy has a passion for business is heavily involved in training and supporting contractors from all walks of life who need a hand and specialises in business structure, financial structure/ monitoring and systemisation of businesses.
